Catholic Lay Evangelist Gary Zimak Brings ‘Following The Truth’ To Radio!

February 26, 2010

Cinnaminson, New Jersey (MetroCatholic) – As part of a continuing effort to bring the truth of the Catholic Faith to the world, Catholic lay evangelist Gary Zimak is now hosting a weekly radio program, “Following The Truth”. Named after Zimak’s ministry, the radio program is broadcast on WFJS (1260 AM, Trenton, NJ) each Wednesday at 2 PM (Eastern) and is rebroadcast on Saturdays at 10 AM (Eastern). The program can also be listened to live on the Internet at http://www.domesticchurchmedia.org .

The show features guests, music, Catholic teaching and commentary. “My goal is to present the teachings of the Catholic Church in a practical way that can be applied to daily life”, says Zimak. “By using a wide variety of inspirational music, interesting guests and solid Catholic teaching, we are able to assist people in learning their Faith and becoming closer to Christ.” Since going on the air in February of this year, Mr. Zimak has interviewed Catholic personalities such as Pat Ciarrocchi (longtime television news anchor at CBS-3 in Philadelphia) , Contemporary Christian singer, Marty Rotella and Damian Wargo, the co-founder of The King’s Men (a Catholic Men’s Group very active in the war against pornography).

The transition to radio was a logical step for Zimak, who appears as a guest on numerous local and national Catholic radio programs. He observes, “When Jim Manfredonia, the owner of WFJS, approached me with the offer of doing my own weekly radio show, I was ecstatic! Although doing a weekly show is not without its challenges, it provides a way to bring the Catholic message to an even larger audience.”

What’s next for Gary Zimak and his apostolate? “Even though the Lord has blessed my work with great success, there’s still more work to be done. I’d like to do more public speaking at parishes and conferences. I feel it’s important to talk with people face to face and proclaim the Good News of the Catholic Faith. There are still many people who need to experience the peace that comes from knowing Jesus Christ. I’m excited to see what doors the Lord opens for me in the coming months.”

Gary Zimak is the founder of Following The Truth Ministries (http://www.followingthetruth.com ). He uses a combination of Internet resources (Facebook, Twitter, blog, email newsletter) and live talks to bring the faith alive. In addition to his duties with Following The Truth, Mr. Zimak writes for Catholic Exchange and is a frequent guest on EWTN radio’s “Son Rise Morning Show”. He has also been featured on Sirius Radio’s “Seize The Day” with Gus Lloyd and numerous other Catholic radio shows. Gary is a member of Catholics United for the Faith, an officer in the Knights of Columbus, and resides in New Jersey with his wife Eileen and twin daughters, Mary and Elizabeth.
