The Campus Minister of Community Life at Neuhoff Catholic Student Center, located on Southern Methodist University campus, supports the mission of the Diocese of Dallas and the Chaplain of the Catholic Campus Ministry. This individual oversees the outreach efforts of the Catholic Student Center and contributes to the formation of students. In addition to assisting the Chaplain in providing pastoral care to active and inactive students, this Campus Minister will lead the Men’s Group, oversee the Knights of Columbus, oversee all social events and supervise small group ministries. Furthermore, this individual plans and executes retreats, interfaces with other SMU campus entities and works in collaboration with other Campus Ministers to select, train and develop student leaders.

The Campus Minister of Community Life will be an active, practicing Catholic with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Education or related ministry field required, and a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Theology or Divinity highly preferred. 2-5 years’ experience working with college students or young adults in faith development/campus ministry; demonstrated competency in areas noted in the Catholic Campus Ministry Association (CCMA) Standards for Campus Ministers.
