Business Manager/Accountant Position
Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Gainesville, VA, a vibrant parish with over 4,000 registered families, is seeking an experienced Business Manager/Accountant.
Working closely with the Pastor and Parish Finance Council and in concert with Diocesan guidelines, the Business Manager/Accountant is responsible for preparing the parish annual budget; overseeing all accounting and financial functions; establishing and monitoring internal financial controls; and overseeing major procurements and all vendor contracts.
The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication and problem solving skills. An ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently and to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts is also critical. We require a BS/BA in business or related field; CPA preferred, but not required; minimum of three years’ experience in finance/business management; and prior experience with QuickBooks, Excel and database management systems.
Must be a fully-initiated and practicing Catholic, able to participate in the full sacramental life of the Church. We offer a competitive salary for this part-time (25 hours/week) position.
