Job Description:
Small Catholic Apostolate in Kingwood, Texas, is looking for a part-time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant. Essential job functions include:

– Process full cycle accounts payable
– Manually enter and code invoices
– Enter sales invoices and post cash receipts
– Assist with inventory accounting duties
– Perform bank reconciliations
– Prepare journal entries
– Prepare monthly income statement and balance sheet
– Administrative support for management
– Other duties as assigned

Skills Required:
Must have at least 3+ years of experience working in an office environment, retail experience a plus. Some college preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
– Proficient in QuickBooks, MS Excel, MSWord
– Must be able to reconcile bank accounts manually and in QB
– Experience in G/L, A/P, Cash posting and balancing all accounts

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
– Must be very organized and dependable
– Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Must be a quick learner, high attention to detail with the ability to multi-task as well as work independently
– Must have computer proficiency with Microsoft Office with strong emphasis in Excel and QuickBooks.
– Ability to work in a team environment and maintain cooperative-work relationships
– Must be available for weekend travel to assist with company conferences 4-6 times per year
– Knowledge of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church is important, but not a requirement

Compensation:
Compensation range is $18 – $22 per hour, depending upon experience. Background check is required. Work hours are generally 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM Monday through Friday. Some weekend travel is required to assist with company conferences 4-6 times per year. (0)
