Congratulations Gloria and Adan!

Last week was my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. Quite an accomplishment in this day and age. It was a beautiful ceremony and fun party afterwards with dancing and mariachi’s. In addition to time spent with the in-laws, we had a nice visit and enjoyed a week of family time and activities, including a day trip to see my sister and nieces in Oregon on the way back home. However, now that we are back I feel glad to be home, but at the same time have come to realize how boring my life is once I am back into routine again.

Upon our first weekend back we also celebrated Father’s Day, as well as my birthday yesterday. I was overwhelmed on Facebook and other social media with all the thoughtful birthday wishes. It’s really nice to know others are thinking of me and appreciate my contribution to the social media world, especially those I have not met in person but share common interests.

I’ve started a walking exercise program to change my morning routine a bit, and so far so good, but it’s only been a couple days. Hopefully I can keep it up consistently and meet my daily goal of 10,000-12,000 steps per day or work up to burning 1,000 calories per day!! I want to get into better shape and lose at least 20 lbs this year. While I’m not overweight, I would like to get in better physical shape and maintain a healthier cardiovascular lifestyle. However, I still feel like my life is rather dull. I know I have a loving family and love my boys with all my heart. They are what keeps me going each day, but at the same time I feel like I still need more in life to fulfill me or give me purpose. I just don’t know what else to do with the next 40 or 50 years of my life. While I know I have an important role as a stay at home mom, I feel that I need more spiritually, mentally and physically challenging. I don’t know what that is exactly, but this is something I need to explore. At the same time I feel content to stay where I am and just accept things the way they are, but something is pushing me or telling me to do otherwise.

However, I don’t think I want to go back into teaching in the future, but have considered renewing my teaching license. I’ve considered substitute teaching, but never liked the unexpected and inconsistent schedule. I like being home for my kids when they get home from school, especially since they are still in elementary school and my mom was always there for us when we came home each day. I’m not a very domestic homemaker though….I dislike cooking and cleaning and as I told my husband before we got married, I’m domestic like a cat….I prefer lounging rather than cooking or cleaning, but as bored as I get some days I do my share of housework to keep things clean and neat, but not always spotless.

I know this isn’t the usual blog post from me, but after taking a week off from watching the daily news and following current events, I’ve come to realize I need a break once and awhile to think about other things in life. I don’t know what it is lately, but since we have returned from our family trip,the things that motivated me or interested me before are not as interesting or motivating. I’m still interested in politics, current events and speaking out on social media, but I want to spend less time doing it while still making a difference. I guess I don’t feel like enough is being done to change the direction of our country, despite efforts by me and thousands of other online activists. Heck, the way things are going I don’t think the people running this country really care about what half the country thinks.

Anyway, I thought I would share what’s on my mind lately rather than my thoughts on politics and current events. I’m sure I’ll be back to write about the issues of the day more soon and will continue to exchange tweets and news on social media, but maybe not as frequently as I have been the past four years. I need to focus on me, my health and family while trying to decide where to take my life in the next 40 or more years. While I look forward to the retirement years and some day celebrating 50 years of marriage, I also fear what the future holds for our country and especially my sons. I hope they have the same opportunities I had and look forward to the day they graduate high school and college and begin their lives and have families of their own. I pray that our love and guidance will prove to be enough and that they grow up to be happy, healthy and productive citizens in society. Thanks for reading this blog post this far, following my blog, tweets or other social networks and for your support. I look forward to hearing from my readers/followers and consider those who are loyal followers friends.

HHS Website Gives Children Info on Masturbation, Birth Control, Gay & Anal Sex

I’m so tired of the immoral information being forced on our children by this administration and other organizations subsidized by our tax dollars, like Planned Parenthood, but this is the Health and Human Services Department of the United States, using our tax dollars to fund immoral and inappropriate content for children! This must be stopped!

It’s bad enough our tax dollars subsidize the largest abortion provider in the United States, Planned Parenthood, now we are being forced to see our tax dollars used on websites which parents have no control over. As The Alexandrian points out, “why should the government be trying to bypass parental control over our kids? Why should little girls have information like this readily available to them?”

CNSNews.com reports:

“A government website designed for girls ages 10 to 16 offers health advice and information on a wide range of topics, including homosexuality, anal sex and “mutual masturbation.”
The Health and Human Services’ girlshealth.gov includes tips on fitness and nutrition and an “environmental health” section where girls can read about leading a“green” lifestyle.
But the site also includes a glossary that explains anal sex and “mutual masturbation” and includes information about birth control and how to access everything from condoms to “emergency contraceptives.” [...]
If girls click on the “Body” tab on the home page, then the “Your Sexuality” tab, then “Dealing with Dating and Sexual Feelings” link, they will find the “Could I be Gay?” link.
“If you’re having feelings of romantic or physical attraction to other girls, you may wonder about your sexual orientation,” the site states. “It’s natural as you develop to wonder about these feelings, and it may take time to figure out your sexual orientation.”

While there are some good messages on the site such as:

“When it comes to deciding about kissing and more, remember that so much of what you see on TV and hear in song lyrics is not real or healthy. And remember that there are lots of ways to show affection other than having sex.”

I don’t think the government should be encouraging masturbation, anal sex, nor homosexual sex. Choosing to have sex is a personal decision, but also a moral decision that should be based on parental and religious influences. Parents should be the ones teaching their children about safe sex and abstinence, not the government and not the schools. If anything the federal government, or HHS, should be encouraging children of any age to avoid sex until they are married and in a financially stable relationship should they become pregnant. Even in the best of situations having sex should not be a decision that comes lightly because everyone else is doing it or because you can easily buy condoms or contraceptives, it should be discouraged until one is older and married and ready to handle the emotional and personal responsibilities of having a child, but it should also be discouraged to limit the number of sexual partners one has to avoid contracting STD’s. Not all STD’s are contracted from sexual intercourse either, but can be contracted by oral sex as well as anal sex, therefore teaching children about the risks and dangers involved in having sex should be emphasized when teaching about good health care and hygiene.

5yro Interrogated by School Until He Wets His Pants… For Bringing Toy Cap Gun To School!

This really pisses me off! As a mother of two young sons who enjoy imaginative play with toy guns, cap guns, Nerf guns, squirt guns and even use their hands to form ‘finger guns’ and make shooting sounds with their mouths… this is insanity!

I feel horrible for this little boy and his family for what this school did to him! I would sue them and change schools or home-school if I couldn’t find a school with more reasonable, common sense policies.
Thank God my sons school is not this petty, at least not yet!

They interrogated this little five year old boy for two hours, causing him to pee his pants either out of fear and/or because he was questioned for two hours without a bathroom break, for bringing an unloaded toy cap gun to school and showing it to a friend on the school bus! This is the definition of stupidity!! Last week another young boy was threatened with suspension from school for bringing a toy Lego gun the size of a quarter to school![see image below]

“As reported by The Washington Post, “a kindergartner who brought a cowboy-style cap gun onto his Calvert County school bus was suspended for 10 days after showing a friend the orange-tipped toy, which he had tucked inside his backpack on his way to school”
The child was questioned for more than two hours before his mother was called, she said, adding that he uncharacteristically wet his pants during the episode. The boy is 5 — “all bugs and frogs and cowboys,” his mother said.
“I have no problem that he had a consequence to his behavior,” said the mother, who asked that her name be withheld to protect her son’s privacy.
“What I have a problem with is the severity,” she said, and the way it was handled.
According to the story on The Daily Caller, the boy brought the gun to school “because his friend had brought a water gun the previous day. He later told his mother that he ‘really, really’ wanted his friend to see it.”
So… the boy brings an orange-tipped, cap gun to school and gets suspended for 10 days and gets “questioned” by school officials for two hours. Two hours!
Schools have gone completely overboard. But get this… consider what would have happened to the little boy if the cap gun has actually been “loaded.” The Washington Post reports that “it would have been deemed an explosive and police would have been called in.” An explosive? Has everyone gone insane? Would they have sent in the bomb squad to “disarm” this device?
“The school was quite obviously taking it very seriously, and he’s 5 years old,” she said. “Why were we not immediately contacted?”
The family’s attorney, Robin Ficker, said that the age of the child is important and that the incident could have been used as a teachable moment.
“Kids play cowboys and Indians,” he said. “They play cops and robbers. You’re talking about a little 5-year-old here.”

These incidents are not the first and likely won’t be the last of such stupidity in our schools, as there have been several other recent incidents similar to these over the past several months following the heinous Newtown school shooting. As the Obama administration started pushing for tougher gun control laws on law abiding citizens, schools became more and more inclined to enforce ‘zero tolerance’ policies which ban children from playing long time childhood games, like “cops and robbers” or ”cowboys and Indians”, citing unsafe behavior, terrorism and other insane reasons to suspend and punish small children who posed no threat to others and were simply playing!!

Some anti-gun activists have even gone as far as pushing anti-toy gun campaigns, imposing their beliefs on others. This should be a parental decision, in which parents and schools should use their own discretion, but also common sense and use these moments as teachable moments to teach safety rather than instill fear in children.

Where has the common sense gone in our schools and country when children are being punished for being children??!

Faith Based&Secular Alternatives to Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America

If you have a daughter in Girl Scouts it’s time to take them out if you value traditional morals and values and/or are a Christian. Consider American Heritage Girls, Frontier Girls, Little Flower Girls, 4-H or some other group.

“Tell me who you hang out with and I’ll tell you who you are.

Anna Maria Chávez, CEO of Girl Scouts USA (GSUSA), offers this pithy saying as her favorite quote. In order to figure out who the Girl Scouts are, I suppose we must follow Ms. Chávez’ logic and look at the organizations that GSUSA associates with.

A good place to start would be the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). WAGGGS has member organizations across the globe, the largest of which is GSUSA, contributing approximately a quarter of the ten million members that belong to WAGGGS. GSUSA is a co-founder of WAGGGS and one of WAGGGS’ largest financial supporters, paying over $1 million each year in membership fees which are triggered by each girl and adult member’s annual GSUSA registration.
The global organization is a well-known advocate for sexual and reproductive rights, including abortion, for youth, and claims to speak for all of its 10 million members.

In May 2013, WAGGGS participated in Women Deliver, a global conference with the purpose of “call[ing] for action to improve the health and well-being of girls and women.”

The conference featured speakers such as late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart, philosopher Peter Singer, who supports infanticide and euthanasia, and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Some of the breakout sessions were entitled “Outing and Addressing Abortion Stigma” and “Why I Perform Abortions.” Exhibitors included many abortion and population control advocates such as Amnesty International, Guttmacher Institute, International Planned Parenthood Federation, Marie Stopes International, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, United Nations Population Fund, and WAGGGS.

Equally concerning is WAGGGS’ participation, along with International Planned Parenthood Federation and Planned Parenthood Global (PPFA global), in the Youth Advisory Group for the Women Deliver Conference. It seems to me that the Girl Scouts have some interesting, you might even say radical friends.

Sexual and reproductive rights advocacy is nothing new for WAGGGS. In June 2012, WAGGGS Board Chair Nadine El Achy boasted that WAGGGS “represented each one of our WAGGGS members – YOU” as they pushed for sexual and reproductive rights at the Rio+20 conference. In December 2012, WAGGGS and International Planned Parenthood Federation worked together to create the Bali Youth Declaration, a document which called for abortion rights for youth, comprehensive sex education and the “decriminalization of sex work.” WAGGGS appears to be advocating for the legalization of prostitution. I, for one, fail to see how this relates to scouting.

Putting WAGGGS aside, GSUSA has many other concerning friends. Together with global abortion provider Marie Stopes and other many other abortion advocates, GSUSA maintains membership in The Coalition for Adolescent Girls.

The Coalition promotes comprehensive sex education and abortion related care for girls.“

In related news, if you have a son in Boy Scouts, and you seek an alternative which still respects traditional values and Christian morals consider the following.

Recently the Boy Scouts of America have also turned their backs on traditional values and will begin allowing openly gay/homosexual children to join Boy Scouts. Many parents are outraged by this decision and are seeking alternatives that keep the social engineering and less traditional values out of scouting.

9 Faith Based (and Secular) Alternatives to the Boy Scouts of America

Here are some faith based B oy Scout alternatives to consider, including:
Pathfinders (Seventh-day Adventist), Royal Ambassadors (Southern Baptist) and Royal Rangers (Assemblies of God),and The Knights of Columbus’ Columbian Squires.
The Columbian Squires is an organization for Roman Catholic boys and young men ages 10-18, was founded in 1925 and claims a youth membership of more than 25,000, including some in units in Mexico and the Philippines.
The Squires, says the program’s Web site, “is an athletic team, a youth group, a social club, a cultural and civic improvement association, a management training course, a civil rights organization and a spiritual development program all rolled into one.”

S ecular alternatives include:

Camp Fire:

Founded in 1910 as Camp Fire Girls of America, this organization changed its name and became coed in 1975. Boys now comprise almost half of its 300,000 youth participants, according to spokeswoman Catherine Lufkin.

Navigators USA:

This alternative scouting organization has its roots in a Boy Scout troop based in New York City’s East Harlem neighborhood and sponsored by the Unitarian Church of All Souls.

The Baden-Powell Service Association:

The BPSA was founded in 2008 by David Atchley of Washington, Mo., who as a leader of his son’s Cub Scout pack had a rift with regional BSA leaders over his efforts to adopt a nondiscrimination code.

SpiralScouts International:

This coed organization originated in 2001 at the Aquarian Tabernacle Church in Index, Wash., which serves a Wiccan community.

Though developed on the basis of pagan beliefs and practices, it is open to youth and families of any faith – or no religious affiliation. Its units are known as circles; it also welcomes individual families who are designated as “hearths.”

No charge against Chinese mother of baby left to die in sewer

I wrote about this cute little baby the other day who was tragically left for dead in a sewer pipe in China after his mother gave birth to him. Thankfully he survived and is alive and well after he was removed and taken to the hospital. Sadly the mother won’t be charged for what she did to him and will be given custody of the baby, along with the man claiming to be the father! She claims the baby accidentally fell into the toilet??!! No way! Then why didn’t she get help when it happened?!

I can appreciate her coming forward to claim the baby after abandoning him for dead, but what she did was attempted murder and neglect and she should be charged accordingly. I can’t believe they are going to give her and the supposed father custody!!?

Honor The Fallen, Honor Our Military Heroes:Yesterday,Today&Tomorrow!

God bless our military heroes…past, present and future. Some gave all, so we could enjoy the freedoms we have today. Never take our military for granted. Each and everyone of them have sacrificed so much, along with their families. Many are struggling today from mental and physical wounds that will never heal. While others, like the few remaining from our Greatest Generation, like my dad, are still with us and thrived after returning from war and helped build America into the great country we are today. Don’t let their work and sacrifices be in vain. We should always strive to protect and defend our country from tyranny, from our enemies foreign and domestic and work to make America stronger and more independent.

America is a place of freedom and opportunities like no other country. This is one reason many come here seeking asylum, citizenship and opportunity. We are a land of opportunities, but we can not continue to grow and welcome others if we take our freedoms for granted and give up our security and economic opportunities to those who come here illegally or seek to do us harm. Americans must always come first! Our security must always come first! The rule of law should always prevail, we are a nation of laws, Constitutional rights and protections and those laws and rights should not be ignored, but defended! And if you don’t appreciate our military and respect our Constitution…then you can leave the US!!

OMG! Thank God He was found!Newborn rescued from sewage pipe!

Thank God people heard the baby crying and they were able to locate him in the sewer pipe alive!! How cruel and evil can people be. Of course this is China where forced abortions are common and families are limited to two children each unless given permission to have another. This was a little boy, which are considered wanted in China where gendercide is common among female infants, but not if you already have two children. How sad that anyone could do something like this to hide their pregnancy/newborn and leave them for dead. May he live a long and healthy life and find a loving,forever family despite having to grow up in China.

CHINA (CCTV/CNN) – Firefighters in east China’s Zhejiang Province rescued a newborn infant from sewage pipe on Saturday afternoon.

The infant was found in the toilet sewage pipe in a residential building in the city of Jinhua.

Residents in the building reported to firefighting department that they heard baby crying in the toilet of the fourth floor.

Local firefighters soon rushed to the site to rescue the infant, who was later found, a newborn boy with his placenta uncut.

After cutting down the sewage pipe, firefighters sent the infant, still covered by the pipe, to the nearest Pujiang County Hospital where they took away the pipe piece by piece with the help of doctors, using a saw and pincer pliers.

The rescue operation took almost an hour. And the infant is now in stable condition.

Christian Home School Family Loses Appeal,Faces Religious Persecution!

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals today denied asylum to the Romeikes - a family who fled to the U.S. from Germany seeking homeschool freedom. Read the press release. >>

Another story that the mainstream media has failed to cover…the story of this Christian home school family who came here as refugees from Germany because they were suffering religious persecution. They sought asylum in the US, because they were unable to home-school their children and teach Christian beliefs, and came here to have the freedom to do so.

However, thanks to the DOJ, they lost their appeal in the 6th Circuit Court today. Despite, a US immigration judge ruling in 2010 that the family did face persecution from the German government and granted the Romeike family political asylum. The family moved and settled in Tennessee.

The HSLDA, Home School Legal Defense Aid group founded by Michael Farris, will fight on and appeal this decision to the Supreme Court. Pray they are successful! If not the US is no longer land of the free and home of the brave, but the persecuted.

HSLDA,: “As you may have heard from HSLDA, this morning the Sixth Circuit ruled against the Romeike family. The essence of their opinion is that we will not grant asylum to victims of a nation where the entire nation is subjected to the same rules.

This approach is wrong in two key ways. First, while compulsory attendance laws apply to all Germans, the German government openly says that the reason that they specifically target homeschoolers is because they want to repress religious and philosophical minorities.

Even though we repeatedly brought these statements to the Court’s attention, the opinion makes absolutely no mention of this dramatically important fact.
Second, the fact that the law is universal in character, is no excuse for a denial of human rights. The Court approved the government argument that even if prosecutions violate human rights standards, so long as the prosecution is equally administered to all, it is not a ground for asylum.

We believe this approach dramatically curtails the value of freedom and individual rights. If every member of a nation is denied freedom of speech, and are thrown in jail or have their children removed for speaking out, our nation should give such people asylum.

The same thing should be true for religious freedom and parental rights. Even a nation denies every family parental rights and religious freedom–the United States of America should provide a safe have for those who escape from such repression.

We will fight on. First, we will ask the entire Sixth Circuit to review this three-judge panel’s decision. If that is not successful, we will then appeal to the Supreme Court.”

Obama’s DOJ, under incompetent Eric Holder, has deemed that they are not eligible for refugee status and should be returned to Germany, despite them being told they could not teach Christian values to their children at home and home school them. In result, they risk losing custody of their children if they are returned to Germany!

They came to the US under asylum, to the land of the free, and now are being told they don’t have the right to home school here because they are not eligible for refugee status.

This is outrageous!! If you are unable to practice your faith and live your life in your home, by teaching your children at home, the values and morals you believe, then you are a victim of religious persecution!! If they are forced to return to Germany they could lose custody of their children!!

This is an outrage, as the Obama admin allows illegals, including terrorists, drug cartel and sex offenders into our country through porous borders!

Perhaps if the family came here illegally the DOJ would be fighting to protect their rights? But perhaps it’s because they are Christian and they believe in the right to home school the Obama admin is going after them??

This is supposed to be America, where we have religious freedom and the right to home school our children without persecution. The Obama administration is once again showing how much they despise Christians and those who prefer smaller government because they see homeschooling as a threat to their Big Govt indoctrination agenda.

Parents rights should always trump the governments when it comes to raising their children and teaching them about morals and sexuality. It is NOT the role of the federal government to teach these things nor provide for the practice of sex through condom distribution or contraception and abortions.

For example, the image of the book below is something being pushed in schools by Planned UNParenthood. They are trying to take the role of the parent and their chosen doctor when it comes to teaching our children about safe sex, abstinence, homosexuality and sexual intercourse.

Note this graphic image was banned on Facebook but Planned Parenthood thinks it’s ok to share with your child in schools!

UN Calls on governments to legalize child prostitution&drug use to fight AIDS??!!
