The Department of Chemistry and Physics at the Franciscan University of Steubenville (FUS) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position in engineering to begin in August 2014. The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. or Sc.D. in an engineering discipline at the time of hire, with a primary charge of supporting the growth of the University’s newly-established, pre-engineering program in partnership with other universities. A successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, and will support the Franciscan Mission of the university. Preference will be given to candidates prepared to teach basic engineering courses in statics, dynamics, solid mechanics, and thermodynamics; who can develop and teach two introductory-level electrical engineering courses; and who will facilitate student internship opportunities.
