Position Reports to: Assistant Vice President of Student Life

Department: Student Life

FLSA Status: Exempt (Professional)

Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., evenings and weekends as needed

The Assistant Director of Student Life Services and Communications provides management or assistance with important services and events that support the mission of Student Life and the University. These services and events include food services, student work program, audio-visual services, Student Life Communications, Homecoming, Orientation, and Graduation.

1. Managing Dining Services
2. Manage SWOP Program
3. Manage Student Life Communications
4. Assist with Orientation – Student Team Development
5. Supervision of Staff
6. Coordinates multi-department events
7. Student Life Special Projects

Technical Skills:
1. Proficient in the use of Jenzabar
2. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
3. Experience in the use of various means of communication: email, facebook, twitter, webpages, apps, etc.

Education & Experience:
• BA or equivalent experience
• Supervisory experience
• Management experience
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Attention to detail
• Budget oversight
• Experience with various types of communication technology
