The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University invites outstanding teacher-scholars to apply for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant or Associate level in Management starting in the fall of 2013. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Management, Organizational Behavior, or Business Administration (ABDs near completion will be considered) and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to the campus community. He/she will teach the first course in Management for undergraduate Business Majors and will also have the opportunity to teach additional courses at the undergraduate or graduate level. These courses will depend on the successful candidate’s specialization and may include human resource management, organizational development, strategic management, leadership, entrepreneurship, business and society, or business ethics. The Bolte School is dedicated to providing graduates with a solid foundation in analysis and ethical decision-making using a variety of interactive techniques such as cases, simulations, and other experiential learning activities. In addition to courses within the major, the faculty member may be asked to contribute to the Mount’s common education experience by teaching the Veritas Symposium (Veritas 101 – Being Human: The Catholic Liberal Arts Symposium).
