Corazon Puro, Inc. is a Catholic non-profit organization that focuses on the formation of Youth and Young Adults in the truth and meaning of human sexuality in the light of Christ through a Theology of the Body. Corazo n Puro is sponsored by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.

Corazon Puro (CP), started in 2008, as a sacramental-based formation/preparation for inner city and at risk youth and young adults. It is based in the South Bronx and strives to bring dynamic teachings in English and Spanish. In light of the incredible dearth of relevant resources geared toward our given demographic–particularly addressing hispanic culture and language, Corazo n Puro strives to bridge this gap. CP’s programming is aimed at bringing about a Culture of Life targeting some of the core issues in the areas of dignity, sexuality, mission and marriage. We do this through our monthly meetings and lectures, retreats, and missions in the local, national, and international level. In addition, CP leads and collaborates in other initiatives and events.


Title: Assistant Program Director for Corazon Puro INC.
Reports to: Emmanuel Pena, Program Director & Fr Agustino Torres CFR, President

Description: The Assistant Program Director’s role is to support the Program Director in the implementation of the mission of Corazon Puro. Areas of support include: operations, coordination with CP Committees, program promotion, development, and other projects as needed. In addition, primarily collaborating with the President and the various committees to whom responsibility has already been entrusted, the Assistant Program Director will ensure compliance and recommend changes when needed.


1. Program Implementation

Support program planning, design, execution, follow-up, and evaluation

Provide support and assistance to ensure the operations and objectives of the program are met.

Perform tasks in areas of outreach given to them from the President of CP and the Program Director

Facilitate coordination between and among all relevant staff/ volunteers/committees to ensure smooth and well-executed programs

Supports the creation of opportunities for Hispanic young adults to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ by directing them to the sacraments, setting up events, and holding programs that will lead them to Christ as given in the Corazon Puro organization.

Participate in various Corazon Puro events/programs both nationally and internationally

Responds to daily requests from young adults of CP, providing resources and assistance.

Creates and assists in directing special events/projects for Corazon Puro

Coordinates individual meetings with Young Adults leaders interested in bringing CP to their area and follows through the implementation of these projects.

Some weekend and evening availability is required.

2. Supports the Director of Development and the Office Manager in the following areas: fundraising and development efforts of Corazon Puro

The development of unique marketing materials and expansive outreach strategy.

Social Media management

Help to run the Central Office through administrative tasks and coordination of events and invitations.

Ensuring thorough documentation of the initiative.

Committed to live, and ability to articulate, the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Strong leadership experience and abilities.

Strong social and interpersonal skills.

Independent worker and thinker who can provide both vision and execution.

Must be fluent in Spanish and English

Marketing and branding abilities. Graphic design skills preferred

Availability to travel both nationally and internationally

Bachelor’s Degree is a plus, related experience required.

Strong team orientation, relationship-building skills, and ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people.

Proven ability to set priorities, work independently and take initiative, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
