The Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Office of Catholic Education, seeks a dynamic, innovative, results-driven leader for Assistant Principal for Student Affairs/Athletic Director at Archbishop Carroll High School. As the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs, the candidate must possess the skills and ability to motivate and evaluate teachers, use data to drive continuous school improvement, and ensure a climate conducive to learning where the dignity of the human person is first and foremost. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating all student activities, student transportation, asset management and facility usage. Creativity and 21st Century leadership skills are required to be successful in this position.
In the role as Athletic Director, the candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and direction for the school’s sports program. Duties will include hiring and evaluating coaches, reviewing student eligibility, maintaining schedules, oversee transportation, and supervising the Athletic Trainers. The candidate will be required to attend all PCL/PIAA meetings.

Administrator candidates should possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in educational administration. Pennsylvania Principal Certification and administrative or supervisory experience are desired where applicable.

The position of Assistant Principal for Student Affairs/Athletic Director is a 12-month position. The deadline for application is June 24, 2014.
