La Salle High School is accepting applications and resumes for a dedicated, caring and highly qualified full-time art educator.
Qualifications must include:
•A B.A. and M.F.A.
•Three years prior teaching experience.
•Professional artistic training, background and work demonstrated through work samples, photos or other documentation.
•Knowledge and ability to work collaboratively with professional staff, fellow artists and youth.
•Understanding of sociocultural theories of learning, as well as Dewey’s theories of the arts and aesthetics as a democratic pedagogy. Demonstration of 21st Century skills.
La Salle High School will offer a competitive salary and benefits. Position begins August 10, 2013.
