I don’t think it’s radical to allow people to live their lives in peace, unfettered by the religious beliefs of others.
President Obama made commitments to various voting blocks. Like it or not LGBT Community nationally makes up a large voting block now. Fear is no longer an adequate response to change. The President is right to honor his promises to this voting block.
Today we focus not only on ourselves as individuals, but also ourselves as social beings in our contemporary “global village.” Human Rights can no longer be narrowly defined by fundamentalist Christians whose only response is name calling. Why are they losing the debate nationally on Gay Rights? Because their debate is locked in 16th Century mentality that no longer applies.
The division among Christian Churches over this matter is an indication of the weakness of their response. The earth is shifting under the feet of a narrow alignment of Christians who still see the earth as flat, and who do not believe in evolution.
We invite you to join the 21st Century.
