The Diocese of Metuchen serves a Catholic community of more than 600,000 people throughout Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren counties. Presently, we seek a skilled Administrative Assistant to work in the Department of Pastoral Life to:

•Provide administrative, secretarial and general office support
•Schedule appointments and make arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel.
Prepare correspondence from dictation and drafting responses to inquiries.
•Coordinate office mailings and distribute materials to departmental committees, boards, etc.
•Assist with ongoing programs and projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will be a practicing Roman Catholic with a working knowledge of Catholic teaching and tradition; a strong attention to detail; possess solid PC skills, including Outlook, Word and Publisher; have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well independently.
Compensation: Competitive salary and full benefits package
Hours: 35 hrs per week Mon – Fri
Location: Piscataway, NJ
Environment: Professional Office, non-smoking
