Part-time General Classicist

Established in 1832, Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary – a free standing seminary of the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia offering a B.A. in Philosophy, a Pre-Theology curriculum, and an M. Div. and M.A. in Theology – currently seeks to hire a General Classicist to be an Adjunct Instructor of Ecclesiastical Latin beginning in the 2014-2015 academic year.

The successful candidate will teach two undergraduate courses in the College Division each semester. The successful candidate will possess professional academic training and preparation in areas of Classical and Ecclesiastical Latin and can exhibit dedicated excellence and experience of teaching within the fields indicated. A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Classical languages or its equivalent and a flexible schedule is preferred.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a mandatory commitment to the mission of a Catholic institution of higher learning, with an informed desire to participate in the intellectual formation of seminarians toward the priesthood.
