ACCOUNTING CLERK
Accounting/Finance, PT Employee
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)
Summary:
Performs a variety of accounting data input and filing to ensure proper maintenance of accounting records
Responsibilities include:
• Assists the Finance Director in preparing financial input of data
• Enters into the accounting software program cash receipts and cash disbursements
• Prepares data for payroll entry
• Follows internal control procedures
• Files and maintains all accounting records
• Maintains the storage files
• General office duties
• Participates on a CQI team
• Attends agency meetings/staff development programs as required.
• Attends training sessions as determined by needs outlined in annual evaluation.
• Supports the social teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Available to work additional time when workload increases
• Other tasks, responsibilities and duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of office experience
• High School Diploma
• Must be computer proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Attention to detail and able to work independently, self-starter
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, department heads, representatives of other agencies, and the general public
• Excellent verbal, written communication, telephone and people skills
• Adhere to the Diocese of Palm Beach Code of Conduct with emphasis on confidentiality
